  • Mentoring in both business and technology to promote medical device entrepreneurship
  • Information and assistance in starting a company endeavour with inputs from finance, law, human resources, and regulations
  • Expert support for risk assessment, legal compliance, quality control, technical documentation, product documentation, and ethical clearance
  • Instruction in the areas of packaging and sterilisation, risk management, human factors engineering, biocompatibility, quality control systems, regulatory frameworks, and documentation.
  • Create and run one or more technology business incubators to aid in the fostering of new businesses in the biomaterials and medical device sectors.
  • Providing technical and business incubation services to promote entrepreneurship in the biomaterials and medical device industries
  • Encourage innovation in the field of medical equipment
  • Encourage and support innovation in the creation, translation, and transfer of medical device technologies through collaboration and networking with academic institutions, healthcare organisations, funding organisations, policymakers, businesses, and industry.
  • To encourage the creation of suitable policies and lobbying for the medical device industry at the national and international levels
  • Rentable office space – hot desks and modular offices with shared address, light duty electricity, air conditioning (pending repairs), and internet access.
  • The laboratory facility equipped with reagent racks, a fume hood, the ability to handle laboratory gases, electrical power, and basic equipment such a weighing balance, refrigerator, heater, stirrer, oven, shaker, air compressor/vacuum, and other necessary tools for chemical, polymer, biochemistry, biotechnology, ceramic, and related projects.
